I’m Marie, Admissions Co-ordinator at Abbington House since September 2024. With over a decade of experience in the field of addiction recovery, I bring a unique blend of professional knowledge and personal understanding to my work. Having supported family members through their own recovery journeys, I have developed a deep empathy for those facing the challenges of addiction and the process of transformation.
My background in studying psychotherapy provides valuable insight into the emotional and psychological aspects of recovery, helping me to connect with clients on a deeper level and support them through each stage of their journey. Prior to my current role in Admissions, I worked within the clinic for a year as a support worker, gaining first-hand experience of its day-to-day operations and the remarkable progress our clients achieve. This foundation enables me to guide new admissions with clarity, compassion and a genuine understanding of the path ahead.
Outside of work, I enjoy the theatre and dining out, appreciating the simple moments that make life meaningful.
