Olamilekan Bello

Short Biography

I’m Olamilekan Bello, a Recovery Support Worker at Abbington 28 Ltd, where I support adults through detoxification and early recovery with compassion, structure and professionalism. My role involves monitoring wellbeing, completing COWS/CIWA observations, conducting screenings and assessments, and ensuring safe, therapeutic environments that meet safeguarding and regulatory standards.

I take pride in providing person‑centred care and building trusting relationships with the people I support. I work closely with MDTs, families and external professionals to reduce health inequalities and promote holistic wellbeing. Accuracy, safety and dignity guide everything I do, from documenting vitals to supporting individuals through challenging moments in their recovery journey.

Before joining Abbington, I gained extensive experience supporting people with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs and behaviours that challenge. I also bring leadership and analytical skills from previous management roles, which strengthen my contribution to service quality, operational stability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

I hold an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, an MBA in Data Analytics and a B.Sc. in Biochemistry. I’m committed to delivering safe, effective and empowering support that helps people move forward with confidence.
