Admissions

Taking the first step toward recovery can be daunting. Our admissions process is designed to make it as smooth and welcoming as possible, guiding you every step of the way with care and understanding.

Our Process

At Abbington House, we believe in a personalised and caring approach to admissions.

  1. Initial Contact – You or your representative can contact us to begin the process. We will not pressure you – the decision must come from the individual seeking help.
  2. Confidential Assessment – Once contact is made, we carry out a confidential assessment to evaluate the individual’s needs, risks, and suitability for our programme.
  3. Risk Management & Treatment Planning – If suitable, we’ll agree on a flexible start date. On arrival a full addiction and mental health assessment by our Substance Misuse Specialist Doctor will be conducted to create a personalised treatment plan.
  4. Welcome to Abbington House – Upon arrival, clients will be given a tour, introduced to their ensuite room, and provided with a welcome pack, house rules, and treatment timetable. Confidentiality is always upheld, in line with GDPR regulations.

Aftercare

Recovery doesn’t end when you leave Abbington House. We offer structured aftercare to help you maintain the progress made during your stay. Aftercare is a critical part of long-term recovery, and we work with you to develop a tailored plan, which may include regular check-ins, ongoing therapy, and access to peer support groups.
